When you live in a city, it can be hard to get outdoors. It takes time and energy that I may not have. Cincinnati has a lot of green spaces, but you actually have to go see them. I introduced my girlfriend to geocaching, and now she is obsessed. Geocaching has changed significantly since the last time I did it. People make puzzles that have to be solved to determine the coordinates for the cache. The GF is a Sudoku whiz, so the puzzle caches are like catnip for her.
A lifehack for remembering to do something at the same time every day, is to give your pet a treat when you do it. Once the pet gets accustomed to getting a treat every morning, it will not let you forget. So, if you have to remember to take a medication every morning, if you give your cat something while you do it, the cat will then wake you up every morning, rain or shine, because it is treat time.
For me, the lifehack was to introduce my girlfriend to geocaching. Now, just about every weekend that we are together, we are traipsing into a park to find secret pill bottles. Along the way, we get a bit of fresh air and a little exercise. It’s awesome!
Here is a picture I snapped of the Little Miami River in Loveland.
Until the next adventure! KE8PRB out, 73.
